Sun-Times Endorses Ann Williams
11th District: Voters in this North Side district can't miss if they choose Democrat Ann M. Williams to replace outgoing Rep. John Fritchey. Bright and conscientious, Williams has worked for Attorney General Lisa Madigan and as a staff attorney for the state House. She'll push for property tax relief, fiscal discipline and an income tax increase only as a last resort. We expect Williams to offer the kind of independent and informed voice needed in Springfield. She is endorsed over Republican Scott Tucker, a health insurance broker with some thoughtful but unworkable ideas for managing the state's finances.
