As we introduce each other Williams listens to my story of starting CenterSquareLedger. In part in involves being laid off in August 2008. “I can see the vacant store fronts driving down Lincoln,” Williams says. “Lot’s of people in the district have been laid off or lost hours.”

The Chicago Tribune Endorses Ann Williams
The Chicago Tribune Endorsed Ann Williams as the next state representative in the 11th district. In making its endorsement, the Tribune noted that "Williams will push for sales and property tax relief. She would also like more transparency for tax increment financing districts." The Tribune endorsement follows on the heels of several other major endorsements, including Sierra Club, Illinois Federation of Teachers, The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, and Planned Parenthood.
